General

Summit Access specialises in fall protection and height-safety solutions, including system design, installation, inspection, recertification, consultancy, and rope-access works. We support projects ranging from new installations to legacy system assessments.
We provide nationwide coverage across the UK, supporting facilities managers, H&S managers, building owners, contractors, local authorities, universities, student accommodation, heritage sites, stadiums, and more.
We typically work with facilities management teams, main contractors, property managers, surveyors, and anyone responsible for maintaining safe access at height on their buildings.

Inspections & Compliance

All inspections follow BS 7883:2019, BS EN 795, BS 8610, the Work at Height Regulations 2005 (WAHR), and other relevant UK standards. Our work is carried out by experienced, competent engineers with extensive backgrounds in installation, testing, and recertification.
Most fall protection systems require inspection at least every 12 months, or every 6 months for rope access or rescue critical equipment. Factors such as system type, usage, and environment may require shorter intervals.
Yes. We assess both legacy (pre-2019) and modern systems and can provide compliance reports, gap analysis, and recommendations to bring older systems up to current standards.
We provide a clear report outlining the reasons for failure, any safety-critical defects, recommended corrective actions, and where possible, practical solutions to restore compliance.

Rope Access & Specialist Works

Yes. Our IRATA-trained rope access teams deliver inspections, repairs, high-level maintenance, and specialist access solutions where traditional access (scaffolding, MEWPs) is impractical.
In many cases, yes. Rope access is often faster, more cost-effective, and less disruptive, especially for high-level or difficult-to-reach areas.

Training & Support

We can provide user awareness training for the systems we install, covering safe use, limitations, and duties under the Work at Height Regulations.
Yes. All new installations come with a full System Technical File, including design details, load calculations, compliance certificates, user instructions, and maintenance guidance.

Yes. We hold full public liability, employers’ liability, and professional indemnity insurance suitable for fall protection, rope access, and consultancy work.
Absolutely. Our engineers have extensive experience across installation, inspection, load testing, rope access, and technical compliance. Competency is demonstrated through training, qualifications, and years of practical industry experience.
